ASTROLOGY and Mass PSYCHOLOGY
ASTROLOGERS since time immemorial have been aware of the fact that planetary movements, positions
and relationships , in some peculiar way influence the collective as well as the individual mind. They have always known the important astronomical phenomena are responded to both by groups and single persons. Perhaps the reaction is entirely individual, and that the mass response is the product of all individual reactions, multiplied by the number of individuals concerned with a common objective. In market matters, this is the product of millions of personal responses. How and in what manner the celestial stimulus us responded to is a matter for the scientist to decide.
Theories about this are endless, although I might as well mention a few of the most striking, logical ones. I t is believed by some that astrological influences play directly on the endocrines system of the body, the ductless glands bearing the brunt of the impact and reacting according to the quality of the influence. This is the rational theory, for science is certain that human behavior is closely allied to the endocrine glands.
Others advance the proposition that the acid- alkaline balance in the blood varies, so that the temperament is correlated with the continuous variation. Known medically as the " PH curve", a graph of the relative degrees of acidity and alkalinity in the bloodstream of a patient appears to show also the patients changing moods. When the curve is low, the individual is depressed and disgruntled. A high curve correlates, generally speaking, with periods of cheerfullness and ambition. That the key, or part of it to the mystery of personnal and collective psychology lies in variation of blood constituents, is an extremely interesting possiblity.
Maybe the very delicate nervous system of an individual, and groups of individuals simultaneously responds to planetary influence. negative influences could disturb the nervous equilibrium with repercussions in the thoughts and actions. Positive influences could sooth the disposition so that the person might rely more on forethought and maintain a more optimistic outlook. Numerous adherents to astrology have noticed the sedative effect of favorable planetary aspects and the diisturbing impulse whetting action of adverse vibrations.
Body metabolism is often suggested as the primary seat of response to astrological forces. Cell division, known clinically as mitosis, might undergo definite variations in its erstwhile uniformity, as a direct reaction to the forces. Astrologers correctly refer to favorable influences as anabolistic in action, and unfavorable influences as catabolistic. Too rapid catabolism, or cell- destruction, would doubtless have a negative effect on the disposition. persons interested in ramifications of this theory will find much interest in works on constitutional psychology and psychosomatic medicine, and in a littlle book entitled " How planets affect you" by Llewellyn.
But one of my favorite theories is the theory of Solar Electromagnetic wave signature, where the sun in our solar system emits vast amount of a electro-magnetic waves signature into the exosphere and into the earth. This Electromagnetic wave signature depends solely on the unique planetary configuration of the cosmos. This e-waves are invisible waves that can only be pick-up by our endocrine glands which reacts and emits secreted chemicals that affects our behavior/ moods. Through past observations, It is believed that human beings reacts and exemplifies particular behavior when planets are in specific plantary aspects.
But above and beyond theories about why and wherefore of extra terrestrial influences lies the fact that these forces are a very real and that mass actions and reactions to them reflect consistently, even though hectically, in those departments of our economic set-up most vulnerable to public emotions. The stock market, the volatility of which is like a mirror of the psychology/sentiments of the masses which is dependent to a great extent on the moods of its speculating patrons, which is the sounding board of prevailing attitudes that affect buying and selling activity that dictates the market movement.
Astrology, Long-Term Cycles
According to David McMinn, (Financial Crises & The 56-Year Cycle, Twin Palms, Blue Knob
2480, Australia), 1 56-year cycle has been established in trends of U,S. and Western European
financial crises since 1760 (Funk, 1932; McMinn, 1995). Mills (1867) speculated that the
“mental mood of businessmen tends to run in cycle.” Throughout economic history, generations
of human beings appear to repeat cycles of manic optimism and depressed pessimism. Crises
occur when there is a sudden shift in sentiment from greed to fear. The 56-year cycle correlates
closely with cycles of the sun and moon. It is well established that these cycles have a direct
impact on planet earth and all its life forms, including human beings. The sun and moon directly
impact the following earthly phenomena: gravitational pull causes tides in the sea, atmosphere,
and land surface; earthquake and volcanic activity; weather; magnetic and electromagnetic
energy fields; the four seasons; the 24-hour day; sexual/breeding cycles (human average
menstrual cycle is the same as the synodic month of 29.5 days and the average human gestation
period is 9 synodic months); reproduction, molting, and many physiological rhythms in
mammals are regulated by seasonal changes in the photo period (variation in hours of daylight);
and gravity affects biological tides of bodily liquids in life forms, and that may impinge on
physical functions and emotions. The 56-year cycle appears to correlate with angular
relationships between the sun and moon: the angles 0 deg and 180 deg between the sun, moon,
and nodes repeat to within one degree every 56 and 9 solar years. Perfect correlations exist
between the 36 year sub-cycles and: 1) zodiacal placement of the conjunctions of the sun and
moon’s north node; 2) the moon angles to these sun and moon’s north node conjunctions; 3) the
position of the moon’s north node on a specific date of the year. Major financial crises are most
likely to occur when the moon’s north node is in the quadrants: Aries-Taurus-Gemini and Libra-
Scorpio-Sagittarius. Several variables combine to give rise to complex cyclical behavior.
Specific patterns never repeat exactly but vary and change progressively over long time spans.

“New evidence Precise Long-Wave Stock Cycles,” was presented by Christopher L.
Carolan of Calendar Research, Inc., PO Box 680666, Marietta, GA 30068,
www.calendarresearch.com. From his position on the floor of the options exchange, Carolan
witnessed first hand the effects of the 1987 crash, which occurred on precisely the same date on
the lunar calendar as the 1929 crash, according to Carolan’s Spiral Calendar. This tool identifies
potential turning points in the stock market that provide highly significant correlations by chisquared
tests. Basically, solar and lunar eclipses offer significant market timing dates, although
not all eclipses have an impact on the market. Tops and panics are associated with eclipses that
occur with a cycle of approximately 36- and 58-years since 1763. Carolan’s Spiral Calendar
enabled him to identify in advance large-but-quick “pothole” declines of 20-30% in July 1998
(the actual drop began on 7/17/98) and on April 14, 2000 which was a selling climax day.
Looking ahead, Carolan identified a potential top in the stock market in December 2001 and a
potential 1987-style panic in July 2023. This is a brief summary of Carolan’s talk given at the
Market Technicians Association’s 25th Annual Seminar in May 2000, adapted from the notes of
Mike Carr, which were posted on the MTA web site, www.mta.org.
It is interesting to note how the same or similar cycle lengths appear in the work of
independent researchers using different approaches.
What to Look for When
Trading Stock
The
most important factor in determining a shift in the stock market is a solar
eclipse. This occurs when the Sun and
Moon are conjunct with the North (Rahu) or the South (Ketu) Nodes of the Moon.
A solar eclipse occurs every six months either in Rahu or Ketu.
An
eclipse is very unpredictable, but one thing is for sure -- they cause
reverses. A Ketu eclipse causes a
down trend in the market, whereas a Rahu eclipse will cause
an up trend. The shift begins to move
toward the following eclipse. Planets conjoined or
aspecting these eclipse points flavor the effects. The sign (sidereal) the eclipse falls in has great emphasis
on what kinds of stocks will rise or fall.
A station of a planet is of paramount
importance. This will magnify that planet’s effect. As the planet changes
direction, the planetary effect shifts. Retrograde planets bring stock down. When the planet goes direct, the stock will begin to rise.
A planet is strong when it
is either stationary, or it is conjunct or opposite a recent eclipse point. The planet that rules the type of stock must
be identified. For the business or stock to do well, this planet must be
strong. Always choose a first trade chart that is compatible with your own
chart. Look for positive connections between both charts.

stock will tend to fluctuate. Connections between the natal Sun and Pluto symbolize
a powerful mover on the exchange. Its price fluctuation will affect the whole
industry.
